The Lake Champlain Championship Series is a summer-long series of sailboat races to determine the top competitors in six different categories, held in various spots on one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.
Now in its seventh season, the Diamond Island Regatta, hosted by the Royal Savage Yacht Club (RSYC) and Point Bay Marina, will once again attract many of the fastest boats and best sailors from around Lake Champlain on Aug. 17.
Now in its sixth season, the Diamond Island Regatta, hosted by the Royal Savage Yacht Club (RSYC) and Point Bay Marina, will for the first time be a certified Clean Regatta, helping educate and mobilize sailors to protect the world’s lakes and oceans.
The fifth annual Diamond Island Regatta, on Saturday, Aug.19, matched last year’s record turnout, drawing 30 competitors for a day of sailboat racing on Lake Champlain. Again this year, the benefit race, sponsored by the Royal Savage Yacht Club (RSYC) and Point Bay Marina, netted more than $1,000 for the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum (LCMM) in Ferrisburgh.
Many of the top sailors and fastest boats on Lake Champlain will be taking part August 19 in the 2017 Diamond Island Regatta, hosted by the Royal Savage Yacht Club (RSYC) and Point Bay Marina.
