The Selectboard meeting on June 29 confronted decisions addressing changes in hours and pay rates for town employees for fiscal year 2021, reopening the Town Offices, requesting bids for the Town Link Trail, and an update on safe recreation in the heart of a pandemic.
On Monday the Selectboard again met virtually, with members discussing austerity budget measures, approving reappointments, and reviewing draft request for bids for siding repairs on the Senior Center and construction of the next section of the Town Link Trail on State Park Road.
A special meeting for public input about the Selectboard’s bid acceptance process brought more than sixty community members to the Charlotte Town Hall for ninety minutes on Wednesday. The May 1 meeting was calling after a public brouhaha this week over the Selectboard’s request for proposal approval process for an ash tree removal contract on a portion of Lake Road.
The Monday, April 22, Selectboard meeting continued to follow the approach adopted by the board to address financially related items first before dealing with what Chair Matt Krasnow described as “meatier subjects.”
The Charlotte Selectboard set a date during its Nov. 13 meeting to hold employee performance reviews for four town workers beginning Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. The town employees slated for performance review are Town Administrator Dean Bloch, Zoning Administrator and Sewage Control Officer Aaron Brown, Town Planner Daryl Benoit and Recreation Director Nicole Conley.
