Upcoming Events in August 2021

Save the date! Celebrating 7 years of Vermont Open Farm Week: August 8th – 15th

Do you love local food and farms? Want to get to know your farmer better — and get a behind-the-scenes look into Vermont’s vibrant working agricultural landscape?

During the 2021 Vermont Open Farm Week, you can meet the farmers, plants, and animals that bring your favorite high-quality Vermont products to your plate.

The greatest part about Open Farm Week is that every farm is unique. Milk a cow and harvest a carrot at one farm, sit on a tractor and take in the smell of freshly cut hay at another, and head over to another for woodfired pizza night and a garden tour. Events are happening all across the state, it’s a great time to get out and explore!

Raw Milk Celebration party 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Aug. 20 at Donegan Family Farm in Charlotte

We did it! On May 12, 2021 Governor Scott signed H.218 into law. The new law, Act 22, expands raw milk sales for tier two producers to other farms’ farmstands and CSAs in Vermont, and went into effect on July 1st, 2021.

Now we celebrate! Join us at Donegan Family Farm (1506 Carpenter Road, Charlotte) for (raw!) milk and cookies, talking ag policy, and catching up with the raw milk community. P.S. Please BYO blanket or chair!
