Legislature moves to regulate and tax cannabis
The week before Town Meeting was intense as the legislature spent long hours debating, amending, and passing two major bills: the regulation and taxation of legal cannabis and revisions to Act 250.

Lizzie Post, etiquette expert and co-president of the Emily Post Institute, wants people to know that when one is passing a joint, those rules don’t apply. Though pot is usually passed to the left, “It can go in any direction,” she said, “As long as you don’t take it back immediately.”

The talk was given by Dr. John MacKay, a consulting chemist, who helps cannabis extraction companies test and optimize their product.
