Author to speak Saturday at library about Central African Republic experiences

Journalist and author Anjan Sundaram, who has worked with selectboard member Lewis Mudge in Africa, will speak at the Charlotte Library at noon on this Saturday about his experiences in Central African Republic.

Sundaram is the author of three books — “Stringer: A Reporter’s Journey in the Congo,” “Bad News: Last Journalists in a Dictatorship” and “Breakup: A Marriage in Wartime,” which was published this spring.

Sundaram won a Reuters award in 2006 and a Frontline Club Award in 2015 for his war correspondence.

A graduate of Yale with a degree in mathematics, he earned a doctorate in journalism from the University of East Anglia.
