Book bingo
It’s not too late to participate in book bingo. Stop by and pick up a bingo card. Fill a line to be eligible for prizes from The Flying Pig and Cookie Love. Prize drawing on Aug. 31.

Short story selections
Thursday, Sept. 1, 1 p.m.
Join library director Margaret Woodruff to share and discuss short stories old and new. The reading list will include a variety of authors, and one or two stories are featured each session. Copies of the stories are available at the library circulation desk or via email. Meetings are the first and third Thursdays of each month.

Grange on the Green
Thursday, Sept. 8, 5:30 p.m.
Brazilian sambas and folk waltzes, gentle choros and hot Gypsy jazz, a musical journey from a Parisian bistro to a plaza in the heart of Rio. Grange on the Green sponsors: Cumbancha, Teachers Tree Service, Philo Ridge Farm.

Hands-on Rokeby
Monday, Sept. 12, 5:30 p.m.
Take a step back in time with a hands-on introduction to the Rokeby Museum. Tucker Foltz shares some of the artifacts that tell the story of this historic house, from the Underground Railroad to the contemporary role today. For all ages.

Free Little Art Gallery
Come by the circulation desk for a visit to the smallest art gallery in Charlotte. Feel free to take a piece that you like, add a piece of your own artwork, or both. All media is welcome as long as it fits inside. Use your own materials or pick up the April Take & Make for supplies to make your own masterpiece.
