Celebrating Marty and Terry

A celebration of the lives of Marty and Terry will take place on Saturday August 14th at 10am at the Breeding Barn at Shelburne Farms.  The program will be under an hour and will include several speakers and a very talented group of musician friends from various eras of Marty and Terry’s lives.  Please RSVP here.  Please prepare for an outdoor experience. Bring what you need to be comfortable sitting on a lawn (sun hat, water, blanket or lawn chair, etc.).  If heavy rain is predicted, the event will take place inside the Breeding Barn.  We are expecting high attendance.  Please arrive early and leave time to get to the Breeding Barn from the gate, park, and find a place on the lawn.

Event guests don’t need to leave the Breeding Barn space at any particular time.  If your family/friends would like to bring a picnic and stay to enjoy the space or explore Shelburne Farms, you are welcome to do so!  Our (Tai’s) family will be available for chatting and connecting Sunday from 10-5…see below.

Sunday:
Visiting Hours + Music: On Sunday August 15, 10am-5pm, Marty and Terry’s family will be at their house, 442 Lewis Creek Rd. in Charlotte, for visiting hours.  Visitors can talk with family, walk through the yard and gardens, enjoy a line-up of musicians on the lawn by the river, and spend time in Marty and Terry’s special place.  Parking instructions (in various neighbors’ lawns and fields) will be posted here closer to the event.
