The Festival of Fools is a celebration of street theater, music and circus arts all rolled into one magical weekend, August 3, 4 and 5, in downtown Burlington. Now in its 11th year, the Festival has showcased some of the most eye-catching circus and variety artists from around the world
On December 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Black Box Theater in the Main Street Landing, award-winning comedic storytellers Sue Schmidt and Kevin Gallagher will be joined by special guest Melinda Moulton and live band The Brevity Thing in an all-new show benefiting the Vermont Family Network.
The first-ever Champlain Valley Union High School summer musical, The Lion King, will be performed Aug. 11–13. Carl Recchia is the choral director at CVU and musical director for this production. His son, Ben, a 2016 CVU grad, is directing. Benjamin directed two shows at Charlotte Central School, Peter Pan and Seussical. Mary Recchia is the costume designer/builder.
