I have a different view now. I moved to Grand Isle three weeks ago (and until I sell my house, I plan on continuing this column), and I am slowly finding my eyes. Views, I think, are often taken for granted if they’re our daily companions, as my Charlotte view was for 22 years. They comfort more than they amaze. But having all new views from the entire house is letting me see again.
Fall and winter have been given a bad name as time for buying and selling real estate. This is something that simply doesn’t make sense to me. Fall has so many great qualities about it that are perfect for home selling.
The real estate market remains strong in Charlotte and the Greater Burlington area. Zillow estimates that homes sold more quickly in 2017 than ever before, and 2018 is on pace to beat 2017. In the period from January through May there have been 48 more homes pending and closed in Chittenden County than in the same period during 2017.
As one of the top listing agents for the Charlotte real estate market, a common question I hear from home owners at this time of year is “Is this is a good time to sell?” The general impression is that more houses sell in the spring, when the grass is green and flowers are in bloom.
