Grange on the Green offers fun for everyone
The second “Grange on the Green” of the summer will take place on Thursday July 8th from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on the Town Green. Music on the library porch will be performed by Shades of Blue Vermont.

19th annual Charlotte Tractor Parade
One of the great parts of autumn in Charlotte is being a part of the annual East Charlotte Tractor Parade. This year’s 19th annual event, which celebrates farming in our community, was another wonderful time for all.
Monster Bash: A great time for a great cause
It’s the social event of the season—the costumes are elaborate, the dance floor is jumping, and some have been known to have a cocktail or two as the evening goes on. It’s the Mahana Magic Monster Ball, held at the Old Lantern every year the week before Halloween, and this year’s party (for revelers 21 and older) promises to be just as ghoulishly grand as the last. The party takes place on Oct. 25 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Kids Cook VT show off their skills to the community July 12
On Friday, July 12, campers will serve a pop-up lunch in the vestry at the Charlotte Congregational Church, welcoming community members with a meal featuring sandwiches, deviled eggs, potato salad, watermelon pops, and their special switchel recipe. Proceeds from the “pay what you wish” donation lunch will be used toward food and supply costs for the camp.
Rise ‘n Shine Farm at the corner
After seven long years, Steve’s Garage corner is beginning a new life. Peter Carreiro, “the milkman” of Charlotte’s milk delivery firm Rise ‘n Shine, held an open house at the property on Thursday, June 20, during which he and his wife, Dale, highlighted their plan for an ambitious redevelopment of the five acres at the corner of Church Hill Road and Route 7.
