Energy Committee Chair Rebecca Foster said she is perplexed by the Selectboard’s “disproportionate” concerns over a series of small purchases made by the committee, given the EC’s modest budget and the town’s energy conservation goals.
With 2020 nearing its end, we look back in remembrance of one of the most challenging years to date. Though, with all these struggles, the Charlotte Energy Committee is confident they remained strong in serving the public and making positive strides in terms of weatherization, transportation, education and renewable energy.

At its Sept. 23 meeting the Selectboard heard requests from the Trails Committee on trail expansion, the Energy Committee on library solar panels, and the Charlotte Land Trust on FY2021 budget requests. The Selectboard also designated the Tractor Parade, to be held this year on Oct. 13, as an official town event, naming committee members, and agreed to continue to sponsor the annual event.
