Haven’t we all been down this road—more than once? It seems that, for better for worse, a little self-forgiveness in order. Especially so, since we will very possibly fall into this same refrain yet again.
Life and work as an artist can be solitary; talking to an artist about her work can be intimidating. The Vermont Crafts Council’s Open Studio Weekend aims to bridge that gap around the State of Vermont, allowing artists to open their work spaces to the public and allowing people to visit and speak to artists in their natural habitats.
As you know, the Senior Center does not sell cars or clothes, but it certainly does embody the other values mentioned in the quote. After having been at the wonderful Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner last week at the Old Lantern, it is very evident that it takes a veritable village of volunteers to make the Senior Center community possible.
A Brush With Nature: Landscape Paintings by Lillian Kennedy will open March 4th from 4-7 pm at All Souls Interfaith on Bostwick Farm Road in Shelburne. The show will also be open to the public Tues – Fri from 8:30 – 4:30.
