The Jericho Energy Task Force is celebrating Earth Week with a showing of the movie “Plastic People” at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library on April 24 at 6:30 p.m. This award-winning feature documentary investigates our addiction to plastic and the growing threat of microplastics on human health. Plastic breaks down into microplastics become a permanent part of the environment. Author and science journalist Ziya Tong visited scientists around the world and underwent experiments in her home, on her food and her body in a call to action to rethink our relationship with plastic. “Plastic People” was named one of the best documentaries of 2024 by Variety Magazine.
