As the air becomes cooler and the leaves begin to fall, so too the Major League Baseball season comes to an end. For the Red Sox who are, at the moment, 89-69 (20 games over the .500 mark), this season was a huge turnaround from the 2020 campaign, in which the Sox were only 24-36.
The Redhawk fall sports season is off to a full start. Football, volleyball, soccer, field hockey, golf, cross-country running—with exception of football and field hockey, all others carry both men’s and women’s teams.

CVU senior Catherine Gilwee has been named the Vermont high school girls’ basketball Player of the Year for the past season despite the fact that two state tournaments were called off due to the coronavirus.
The Vermont high school coaches of hockey and basketball for the 2021 season named a number of Redhawks to both men’s and women’s teams.
Champlain Valley Union High School was recognized through a virtual celebration by ESPN and the Special Olympics Program for being a “Unified Champion School.” Others were in New Mexico, Iowa, Delaware and Minnesota.
