“A new booze-ness venture
for the Old Brick Store”

“Break-ins reported in East Charlotte”

“Charlotte farmers lean into hemp”

In our readers survey last year, you asked for more coverage of local news in the paper. As the headlines above show, we heard you. We’re continuing to enhance our coverage of our town, with increased reporting of local news and more feature stories about the people and businesses that make Charlotte a vibrant and beautiful place in which to live.

To pay for the high-quality resources needed to do that, however—for the writers and editors who put the stories together and who maintain our website, email lists and archives—we rely on your financial help. Seventy-five percent of the revenue we need to bring you the paper 25 times a year comes from our advertisers. The other 25 percent comes from you, our readers. Your contributions are now more important than ever in helping us to carry “The Voice of the Town” into the 2020s.

We have just begun our summer fundraising drive. Please take a few minutes now to mail your tax-deductible contribution, of any size, to the Friends of The Charlotte News, P.O. Box 211, Charlotte, VT 05445. Or donate online. In return, we will continue to bring you the news and the stories about the town we all love.
