This group of sleepmates, some of them from Charlotte, participated in the sixth annual Spectrum Sleep Out and collectively raised more than $336,000. Spectrum Youth and Family Services is a nonprofit that works to empower teenagers, young adults and their families to make and sustain positive changes through prevention, intervention and life skills services. Community leaders, business members and students slept outside between March 23 and 26 to support homeless and at-risk youths.
