Sammy is a strong, active hound who lives up to the breed characteristics– and then some! He likes to chase, run and follow his nose. Sammy gets along with other dogs but should be supervised with cats as he will chase them if they run. Potential adopters should be aware that he can be overprotective of people and places he calls his own, and be sure that any children in the household respect his boundaries. Everyone at the shelter just loves this guy!

Homeward Bound, Addison County’s Humane Society, is open Tuesday–Saturday from noon to 5:00 p.m.  We’re located at 236 Boardman Street in Middlebury.
